When: Saturday, April 24, 9 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
The scene: The Atlanta Steeplechase is an incredible day of playing dress up while enjoying horse racing, tailgating, and picnicking in the northwest Georgia countryside. Events include live music, an air show, petting zoo, pony rides, Disco Dog Southern Nationals, terrier and pig races, shopping, and of course the thrilling sport of steeplechase.

What to know: Tickets must be purchased in advance. Regularly priced tickets are $30 per person, available at Ticketmaster and select Publix supermarkets; packages are available for purchase on Atlanta Steeplechase’s web site. Gates open at 9 a.m., first race scheduled for 1:30 p.m., and last race ends at approximately 5 p.m.
